Default Type S Engine

Does anyone know where I could order one of these. Its the 220 hp engine from japan. I was thinking of doing a swap cause my engine isnt sounding or smelling to healthy. It makes funny like gargling, sort of grinding sounds around 1-2000 rpm. Mostly happens when I let the rpms drop. Then sometimes if I rev it a couple times the gargling noise goes away. wtf is wrong with my car? Also feels as if my clutch is going too. My car has 128,000 kms

If you say your clutch is going out, it may be the throw-out bearing making the noise...

Im totally getting that type-s engine. Does anyone know of any other engine, and tranny that would fit a 5th gen base model prelude? Maybe like a F20C (S2000) Motor? I got a valve adjustment done, and my car still makes a funny gargling sound in the low rpms, around idle. What should i do?

why buy a type-s motor when u can rebuild your motor with type-s pistons and get your head p&p along with jun cams/springs/retianers for about the same price as the type -s swap

Yup that's the best way to go. Cheaper too.

I don't think the F20C would be a good motor for the prelude since it has less torque. If you got a lot of money swap in a F22B(?) from the newer s2000 and turn your prelude to RWD. Just my thoughts. I wonder if that would work.

Heres a link to some type-s pistons I found http://www.optauto.com/index.h...TSPS2

I highly recomend some headwork since the motor is already out. There are a lot of places that charge around $700 for a mild p&p with 3 angle valve job.

I think you're referring to the the F20B motor.

The F20C has around 160-165 torque which is close to the
same as the H22a.
