someone has brand new "prelude type s" cams forsale for 600$ flat....
I dont really know anything about them though.. are they better than the regular stock h22a1 cams? are they worth the money
I hope when they say TYPE S that they dont mean the prelude s that has the f22 in it..

The Type-S cams are pretty good cams, but 600 is pretty expensive, you could get a nice crower cam for your purpose that might make some more power for around 600

i could get one crower cam for 600?
i can get 2 type S for 600.. soo wouldnt that be twice as cheap considering i need 2 cams for my h22?

He meant 2 Crower cams for 600. They don't normally sell the Crower cams separately if at all. I think you can find them for $525 - 550 nowadays anyway.

Personally I would go skunk 2's, thats what I'm saving up now for my H22a1 dunno which stage but hopefully stage 2 and a full valvetrain upgrade. jus my .02
You just wont make really good power with type s cams, just spend the same 600 bucks on some crowers or skunks (even though Im not a real fan of theirs), youll get way more go for your money....
hey man, i have slightly used skunk2 stage 1s for sale for a real good price, let me know if you want, ill hook you up. let me know
btw they were used between 5k and 7k miles, and they still look good.

(ex type S cam owner - parting my lude out thats the reason for the ex).
They're nice for a small gain in hp, esp. on the top end. I bought Type S cams back before we had options from skunk2 and crower. Now that these other cams are available, type S seems like a waste of money. For 600 you could get these other cams and make more power. I just sold my set of Type S cams for 200 w/ AEM Gears

those prices are horrible and the prelude type-s has an h22. And do these cams fit base model? Im unaware of what you have, but they might not work for you anyway.
I got a fair question. The Type-S head's valve seats are at 45 degrees, instead of 60 degrees as on regular H22a heads, does this come into play with the cams wearing faster in non S heads?
