tuning question
hey guys I need some opinions on tuning my 5th gen
I recently swapped out my usdm h22a4 for a jdm h22a motor
i pretty much did a "semi" sort of build on it
it doesnt have much bottom end power other than type s pistons, but it has a built head(street port and polish, blox valvetrain, seals, and springs, 3 angle valve job, hot tank, etc.)
and thats all other than bolt ons such as CAI, and s2IM
im saving up for cams next which ill be getting soon planning on going with skunk 2 stage 2 cams
but in the meantime I really need to get it tuned because its been running kinda shitty
i've heard that doing and OBD 1 conversion would be the best way to go
any other suggestions or opinions?

There is really nothing to special about that build.
Port job is only good for so much. Your skunk2 mani is larger than needed for an N/A motor. You might see higher power in the higher rpms, but down low will be less.
Skip the cams, get it tuned with stock cams, and buy something else, like nitrous for fun.
Your set-up will currently will net better than stock motor results, but without building up the bottom end, you wont see much power from the valve train upgrade.
Only way to see some good power would be from a turbo, But that cost some money. Nitrous, will be a cheap way to make some real power cheap
