TPS problem possibly broken
ok here my prob my tps was working fine and then i did the 1 --> 4 wire conversion for my o2 sensor and reset ecu and then now my car wont rev past like 2500 and then i check the voltage of the tps sensor and its at 5.06 volts and as i turn it the voltage stays the same,, so im guessing some how its bad now?
wha6t exactly did you do when you changed your o2 sensor, what year prelude is this,
and yes TPS voltage should vary between WOT and clossed throttle

your tps should be set around .45 volts at closed throttle and around 5 at wot. the tps controls your idle. does the car idle fine or is it messed up too.
i gaurantee you are measuring reference voltage that the computer sends to the tp sensor for operation. plug in the tp sensor. turn the key on. using the same ground wire on the connector for your ground go to the other wire than the one you were using. this will be your tps feed back voltage. .49v closed and 4.5 v open all the way.
your just using the wrong voltange supply. you have know confirmed that your ecu is working right though.
remember one wire is ground, one is reference voltage (5v), and the other is voltage created by the sensor to tell the computer where the throttle posistion is (.49v-4.5v).

then how were you getting a 5 volt reading?

i have no idea but when i re connected that ground all the voltage was reading correctly ground, 5 volts, and the variable voltage in the middle
