So, ive been trying to figure out if there is a top speed limiter on a 89 prelude 2.0 si. i ran a 17.5 quarter mile the other day, but it tops at exactly 110 all the time. if there is, any suggestions on how to remove it?

did you top out during the quarter mile run?

 

maybe the speedometer is broken

 

haha im pretty sure it has nothin to do with the speedometer. and no, i didnt run that during the quarter...if i didnt, it would be much fast than 17.5.

 

not if you're slow as **** taking off.

what mph did you get to? This is interesting

 

most usdm ecu's have speed limiters, but 110 could be your drag limited top speed.

I thought most JDM ecus have speed limiters. I didn't think USDMs had speed limiters.....well, atleast i know thats the case with the p13ecus. &lt;--H22 Prelude.

My bad, I did type that backwards. Either way, the speed limiters are at ~118 mph, which is why I think he's drag limited there. I wonder how much ground he has to cover to get up to triple digits?
