Default NEED HELP!! timing problems

need help timing belt jumping teeth on cams when turned i have a 13:1 compression all motor h22 completely built

this is not related to the timing belt but what gas are you using for that compression? is it street? how's it running? i'm planning to run all motor street but kinda scare to go that high. i'm thinking 12.0:1.

So what exactly do you want to know? Ok, you jumped teeth, now what? Did you bend valves? Dont know how to put it in timing? Give us more info.

newly built motor has not been started yet putting timing belt on and then turning the gears and it jumps teeth the motor is out of the car

i am goning to have to run 93 octan or more to run this motor

pretty sure i am putting it in timing right i may be wrong what is the right way?

when i had the timing belt in and in timing for what i think i gave it a turn and it jumped a tooth

do you think it is auto tenisor if so i am going to be converted to a manual

Yea, it sounds to me like your timing belt might not be tight enough and is therefore jumping teeth. I would strongly suggest converting to a manual tensionor set up. Its cheap insurance.

let me know when you get it running. i'm might start my project sometime this month, next month by the latest. i might be going through this whole mess too. i'm not even sure how to do the timing. just going by the book and hope it helps.
