I just had my head done and need to make sure I set the timing right. I was thinking I need to set the cams at the top with the marks up and align the flywheel to the red mark. Is this right or is the red mark the wrong one?

Use the white plus-sign (+).

Is that by the red mark?

Yep, pretty close.

Sorry, this is the only pic I could find, but you can see they are all pretty close together:

OK, I have the red mark with two marks on either side. I figure that to be the 15* btdc with the extra marks the 2* plus or minus. Now about an inch above those there is what looks like a T. I assume this to be actual tdc. Does this sound correct? Jeesh, small block chevys are so much easier. I have built more racing motors that cranked out power and now I am having troubles with a stock Honda.

Well, I can't make it work. I don't have a plus on my flywheel. I have a white dash above a "T" and then about 1/2" down I have a W and another 1/2" down I have three dashes with the middle one being red. Which one do I set at the pointers to set my cams into place. This is a real PITA.

Does a white dash above a white T not look just like a plus sign?

No need to get upset.. Maybe people just dont know.. Would you rather them tell you the wrong thing and mess up your engine?
