timeracer and illusion
timeracer: I think you misunderstood me. I was not saying it was wrong to charge for access, by all means do so. I was just pointing out that imo the attitude of many people over there including admins was poor, and that if you're going to charge people then if you want to be successful you'll have to treat people better. I know at my site (nor have I noticed it here) people are not berated for asking about hydrolock or other 'newbie' things. It was not meant to belittle po because i have given and received a lot of information there in the past. Honestly if I didn't have a problem with the attitude then I would likely pay. A friend of mine is a moderator there and maybe if he convinces me things are better I'll pay in the future. who knows...
illusion: I don't know if you make it a habit of calling strangers on the internet names, but I don't appreciate being called a hypocrite. If you weren't so defensive you may have understood what I was trying to say. I had some other choice words for you but for harmonys sake I'll leave it at that. Don't use the anonymity of the internet to say things you wouldnt say to someones face.

Flavour: In the future I hope that you would take these things private instead of posting up on the board. This (among other things) is the type of garbage posts that every forum is trying to elimininate. I'm not so sure if people get berated for posting about hydrolocking but posts like "Wow, now all Preludes come with V-TEK!" (yes I'm misspelling it...) Which really serves no purpose, much like this post does except for your own personal defense. As for myself, to each their own. There a many people in this world, if you don't like some of them, so be it. No one is forcing you to pay for the board if you feel the need to state that you don't like some of the PO admins at least take it to off topic. $6 or $30, it really doesn't matter pay to be where you want to be and leave it at that. I'm sure that whoever wishes to pay can decide for themselves if they like PO.com's content/admin just like you decide that TPC's content and admin are worth $30 a year. If you still want to talk about this, you can bring it up in a PM.

i post it here because you are putting forth misinformation here, or in your terms a 'garbage post'.
tpc's content is free.
the only thing you'd have to join for and pay 30 canadian would be for group buys or affiliate pricing or if you'd felt like you wanted to join our community. understand?

Sigh... Quoted directly from the membership page. Please just let this die after this point since all you're doing is driving a point that no one really cares about except yourself. TPC has a membership fee and you choose to pay it. It's that simple, and yes you do pay for webspace in that membership fee. It's a moot point that you have to pay to post since in essence the only difference is that there is a larger group (the entire TPC) that bears the burden of supporting the webserver. Also the benifits that TPC lists is almost impossible to apply to a group that is not regional. Here it is in a nutshell, if you can't understand this I'm sorry.
PO.com:
International membership, only consists of a web board and sponsors can host group buys. $6. You can also read the boards but not post for no cost.
TPC:
Regional membership (generally), consists of web board, meetings/activities, discounts, group buys, and whatever else I might of missed out. $30 CDN. You can also post and browse the boards at no cost. Now read your own membership page, "Access to the Members only webboard forums." You take what you want from that.
This is the absolute last post that I will make upon this ludicrous subject. Truly this does not benifit H-T.com in any way shape or form and is only a personal matter to show that you're right and I'm wrong. If anyone wishes to join TPC please refer to their web page at http://www.hondaprelude.to for information on their web board and membership info. Flavor, the other people in TPC have dropped this long ago, I hope you can do so as well.
