Hi guys im new here at this forum just bought a 98 prelude....but have a problem with it...the taillights and my corners,and dash dont work...so i cant drive the car at night...however the car came with an alarm system every time i alarm or disalarm the car the corners,dash and tailights do work...but when ever i turn them on only my headlights work

i checked the fuses and all are ok. please guys need your help on this.thanks

 

I had this same problem about two weeks ago after installing my new cd deck. It should be just your tailight fuse under neath the driver's side dash; 15a fuse.

 

yea i checked them all and there fine..like i said they blink with the alarm..but not when i turn them on with the headlight swicht

 

is there a relay for the lights???

sounds like your alarm was put in wrong or you have a short but you need to go back and look at all the fuses

 

This is exactly right. Fuse # 10 under the dash.

 

yea...but shouldnt they work at all...beacuse like i said when i alarm or disarm they do blink...dash,tailights and corners

 

lol i have the same problem....
when i use my remote to start the car the dash light is on
but when i put my keys in and step on the brake the dash light goes off.
my headlight and my taillight is fine. it jst the dash.

 

when your alarm is wired to your dash light/taillights and it is arm/dearm the alarm module send a 12v signal to the lights bypassing the blown fuse which is closer to the battery. I say double check your fuses. If thaty doesn't work time to break out the multi-meter and start chasing sparks

 

kkk ima change my fuse tmrw and ill come back here n tell you if it works lol.

 

i checked all the 15a fuse under the dash i even checked underthe hood jst incase.
n there all fine...
anyother solution to this problem?

 

I had this problem long ago when i have put in my Halos on a civic, There was a short in the headlights, making the tail lights and dash light fuse to blow and not work.

i got mine fixed! i found the blown fuse and its not 15a its a 10
