tail lights
Ok i know this isnt exactly a "tech" question but im sure someone can help me out. I have a 94 prelude and i really want to get the amber out of my tail lights. I was wondering if there is a way to get my taillights all red or red & white without takin it to a customizing shop. thanks

http://www.hondaprelude.com has a good write up on this on the front page.
if people would only leave the damn tail lights alone already..........

Cmon, give the kid a break... the stock taillights are boring, why not change them if you have the time and energy.

Yes i know people pay waaaaayyyy too much attention freaking tail lights...that is why i HATE altezzas<<<HOWEVER, the stock prelude lights would look much better without the amber and it is cheap and would give me something to do. I am a teenager and i dont have a lot of money to sit around and build up an engine right now so i am working on appearance first.
yea...that looks so much better than when you had altezzas on. My other friend with a 92 prelude just ordered all clear tail lights (i dunno this kid is crazy...right now he has his stock tail lights wrapped in chicken wire...i just shake my head...) and he said he would give me his stock tail lights to try taking the amber out first just in case i mess up...so right when he gets his cool-guy clear tails i am gonna try and do it.
ive seen that kid with chicken wire over his tail lights!!! no offense, but that **** is UGLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy and ghetto as ****. tell him to candy paint his clear tail lights, they'll look phat as a mother ****** if he does.
What up yall- i just gotta interject on this altezza flaming fest- firstly..id like to say: altezza =
next..i just wanna know what you think of full clear tails? no red to show..or what about carbon fiber? dont get me wrong, clearing the amber out does look good- and ive done it for one of my friends, but what do you guys think about the former two lights?

I personally don't like the look of the "white" tail lights, but at least so many people don't have them. Carbon Fiber tail's are still Altezzas are very played out where I come from, no good.

Yeah..IMHO i believe halfway conversions are pretty rediculous (ie. GTR tails) because it really takes away from the real honda design. If you want to convert somethin, go buy a 240sx and from there show me what an S14 silvia looks like
but in any case, stock w/cleared amber over aftermarkets any day of the week if you ask me.
im out

how do you make it look so clean? mine are all fucked up... did you stick yours onto the clear plastic outside part? or is it in the hole of the black thing... i hope you understand... if youve done the mod you will.
It is the erebuni rear bumper, its just the stock oem one with molded on side pieces as well as a cut out center section with mesh added. As far as making the lights look clean, i did it myself and im a little confused of what you are asking. After pulling apart the lights, i removed the amber piece, put it over the clear plastic, traced it, then took a dremel to cut the new clear piece out. I then placed it where the amber piece used to be, added a lot of silicone sealant then pressed the lights back together using several C-clamps and let them dry for about 12 hrs before removing the C-clamps.
