swap complete.. first drive!!
SO, Last night i finally got the brakes working (I had to bleed them like 5 times to get everything out) and was able to take the car for a test drive. To fill you guys in, I have never driven my car yet. It's a 1992 si 4ws with a freshly swapped in jdm h22. I had a bitch of a time with the swap because I had to replace ball-joint boots (which took forever to get from majestic honda), and a real pain in the *** set of rear calipers(which eventually were swapped out for some reman. calipers) i had to rebuild the rear calipers and put in new piston boots and seals. If you have ever done this, you know my pain. If anyone wants to know the trick I found to it, let me know and I'll describe it to you.
OK, so after all the BS, and laziness because of the cold winter, the thing is finally done. Test drive #1: I puleld out of my downhill driveway, get to the road and am Happy the muffler doesn't scrape like my stock corolla exhaust does... I slowly let out the clutch and let the motor pull itself from idle (which coincidentally was 2k rps because i still need to replace the tps) and I hear scraping.. i think it's the front brake dust shield hitting the rotor. I reverse back into the garage, figure out I possibly have a wheel-bearing to replace, or it's just a ball joint.. Test drive#2: I pull out, the rotor is still scraping on th edust shield, why? no idea, I'll fix it later, I want to drive.. WIth hte girlfriend beside me telling me to take it easy because something MIGHT go wrong I didn't get on it very much, but the little bit i did, it was a big step up from the beat up 91 corolla i have been driving. home we go.
Test Drive 3: my dad takes the car out with me to check it out, he starts getting on it, rotors still scraping heat shield, and he says everything is running fine to him, we turn around, and I take my brother out for a spin. I'm the younger brother (by 3 years) so I want to show him what his little bro has been up to in the garage all this time.. I take it out up this hill, roads are wet since it was raining for an hour or so before, i'm in first, and at about 4k the tires start spinning and were going pretty good, shift 2nd, shirp the tires.. I'M IN LOVE! follow the road up, 3rd, 4th.. all shifting at about 4500 and after a few 0-50 runs on my road I really don't want to get out of the car. I can't wait to get this thing on the road so I can drive it everyday. only downside, the previous owner welded on some RSR muffler and it seems pretty loud... oh well, I'll save for a world sport or something...
long story short: I finally drove my prelude.. it was awesome, i am happy!
SETUP: 1992 si 4ws complete w/ jdm headlights, wings west rs lip kit $500
yes, five hundred
swapped out h23 w/ cracked head and valve damage from TB snapping for jdm h22 $2100 w/ M2B4 tranny and P13 ecu.. delivered to my door
injen short ram intake when I bought the car, intake wasn't with it so I bought that $50 off my buddy's $300 tab
VTEC model front brakes (got a wicked deal on them, figured since they only had 2-k miles on them it was worth i to replace the shitty rusted ones i had) $50 for both
remanufactured rear calipers (read story about it from above) $72 ea. w/ core
Misc suspension parts, hardware, and junk yard goodies about $200
"si" wheels with 90% tread toyo proxes 4 tires all around $175
DC ceramic header $175 (I was broke, didn't want to drop the cash for something better, and I thought I wouldn't need it, but I couldn't get the h23 **** to work
Apexi power intake filter $50 (not installed yet, need to fab a mount for it to my injen intake
I think that's it... i'm not going to figure out the total, but it seems pretty cheap for what i have now.. Stereo is polk db 6500 component sets (x2) and 2 elemental designs 110v2 subs and nine2x amp for a total of about $750-800 (not installed yet)
sorry for the long rant, but i'm so happy right now, I love my car....

Congrats! I hope to be joining the club of recently swapped motors. I was lucky enough to drive the car for a while, but it has been nearly 8 months since I last drove the Lude.....I feel your pain, but at least you can enjoy it more now!
