Default Suspension Help.

Wsup. I just bought my first car a couple of weeks ago. I bought a 99 lude w/ 79k miles. The car is pretty much stock and the first thing i want to do it lower it. i don't really have much knowledge about suspension so id appreciate the help.

Im not looking to spend more than 400-600 on a suspension setup. what would be a good height to lower the car where it would still be a good dd and i wouldnt have to worry about scraping? i was thinking about 1.5-2.0..

What are good suspension setups? i was thinking tokico blues since their only $250 but what springs match up perfectly w/ them? what springs are good w/ kyb/agx shocks? can you guys name some good setups for less than 500 bucks?

also, what are some good websites to buy suspension stuff for cheap?
feedback would be appreciated. thanks

Tokico blues are pretty crappy. Cheap does not equal good, especially with suspension parts. Look into Ground control coilover sleeves and Koni yellows, it's a popular setup. Also use the search feature to find a whole bunch of other threads that are about the same thing as this one.

I agree with the GC coilover sleeves and Koni shocks. If you are on a budget and can't afford it right now, don't buy it. Wait until you save up enough money. SO many people make bad decisions when they buy suspensions and they regret it and end up losing time and money in the process.

Do it right the first time or don't do it at all.

A good alternative to Koni's are KYB AGX shocks, but I would get the Koni's if I were you.

Im happy with my H&R Sports with tokico illuminas. Very smooth and not harsh at all even with the shocks set to 5. They are a progressive spring so they ride pretty much like stock but get stiffer as they compress.

Not the best track setup but great for DD imo. Cost under $600 and lowers about 1.2" I never have any problems scraping or anything like that.
