Default Strut bars

What do you guys think of the cheap strut bars on ebay? I mean what makes a strut bar good. They all look the same.

Does that mean they are all good or what? I assume some are better than other, but does the cost justify it, thats the question.

You almost always get what you pay for when dealing with aftermarket parts. I would not recommend getting the ebay ones if you want real perormance. Look at the diameter and specs of the bar and think about it rationally.

I would guess thickness and material would affect the stiffness and rigidness of the bar. Stronger material is usually more expensive (obviously), and so therefore will act as a stronger brace than the next bar, upping the price. I don't have a clue about Ebay strut bars, or where they come from......Just get a DC or Neuspeed like everyone else, lol.

I don't see why a DC would be a good buy....wouldnt the holes on the middle of the bar affect the structural integrityof the bar? I think they did it for looks, but it doesnt make sense to me

Generally what you pay for is what you get when it comes to structural stiffeners. Personally I think the best one for the money is the Neuspeed. But I haven't seen many of the other brands ones. DC isn't worth the money unless you like shiny pretty things.

I have seen someone stand on a Spoon bar that was bolted into a concrete floor and it didn't bend.

The same person tried that with a DC bar and it bent. I think it was on NTPOG somewhere.

Go with Spoon, check out some of the Groupbuy's on them. The prices are excellent

Spoon bars are very nice
here is a picture of one

Another good alternative is to have a machine shop custom make one for you. Usually the price is not too bad if you design it yourself. However, if they do the R&D for you and also make it, price will be up. Custom stuff is always cool
