my 4ws doses somethin strange. i put the jumper on diagnostic cable and turned on the ignition. 4ws light is on and instantly goes out. then it blinks 25 times in supersonic speed i could not count, i took it on my camera and watched slow motion replay to count it. so it blinks 25times fast, then pauses and gives 2 long blinks. what code is that? what number? guys told me short blinks mean 10s and log blinks mean 1s. if so, is it 252 or somethin?

the 2 long blinks is 20 and the shitty fast 25-30 blinks means that the code is over so you have code 20 (just like me )

when i check the manuals about those this code i found out that i have to replace 2 or 3 sencors (front wheel position and **** like that) but never got the chance and free time to do it. Try fix that and let me know how it went.

hey guys, i heard there was a recall for a rear speed sensor on 92 4ws preludes, i got code 20 also, **** sucks, if i unhook battery it works for a few minutes, then comes back on, and i also relocated the 4ws ecu to the trunk floor. damn i want that **** to work, it was working fine for a week or so maybe, i had my bulb pulled out of my dash, and it was off and on

 

sorry for bringing back this thread but where are those sensors? ill try to clean the connections or something. my car came on freight from japan and the moisty salty air often damadges connections

 

Have you read up on fixing the solder connections in the 4ws unit? I know a while ago there were a bunch of how to threads on 4ws units going bad.

 

i did. but it didnt help. i want to know where those sensors are to remove them and clean all the connections there

 

Code 20 coudl be front main steering angle sensor, front sub steering angle sensor, the 4ws control unit, or a harness connector on one of those sensors. the front main steering angle sensor is in the steering column, and the fron sub steering angle sensor in on the front of the steering gearbox
