Default Squishy Spring Seats

I just installed Tein SS's on my '92 S. When putting the upper mounts from the rear on the spring, I noticed that the top of the spring did not sit in the rubber mount like it did in the front. More or less, the fronts fit like the oem springs did and the rears seemed smaller, not really fitting into the spot where the oem spring sat. I went ahead and put them on - the car drives fine, but when hitting certain bumps, I hear a squishing sound coming from the rear. Has anyone had this fitment problem - is it something I need to worry about, or will the springs eventually make new seating for themselves? thanks

sorry I don't have any install pics to show what I mean

its tough to diagnose a sound on the internet, but its not that uncommon to hear ur suspension over bumps

It's not so much the sound that is my concern, but I believe that it is being produced because of the spring not fitting like it should. I'm just wondering how those of you that have installed coilovers have seen the springs fit.

correct me if i am wrong, but is one side of the spring tapered....if so, then that should be the up side....im sure this is obvious but its just a thing to check

tein is very good about engineering each application to work right, but i have never installed the tein spring alone yet so i cannot say for sure if they fit or not....
