Alright, we were working on swapping out my springs in class today, and we had just finished up talking about horror stories of spring compressors coming off and the spring just flying away. One rumor was that the spring shot off from his garage and went straight through 2 stories of this house. Anyway, we finished up the first spring and started to put it back on, and the other guy started to compress the second one. I was standing over there watching him when all of a sudden I hear a loud BANG, and see the spring fly up about 15 feet. About gave all of us a heart attack. Luckily, the guy compressing the spring didn't have his face over it, so no one was hurt

You guys know just as much as I do that this is a pointless thread - its not tech related, and its in the wrong forum. It belongs in the general discussion forum or something.

See, now if you had put it this way the first time, things would've been fantastic. I agree, with you that this isn't the most appropriate place for this, however, you need to put a little more tact into sharing your thoughts. Just be a nicer guy when you disagree.

Personally, I think the thumbsdown icon needs to be removed; it's used far more often and flagrantly than it should.

 

Which is why you should always do the work CORRECTLY and not literally lose your head over it.
