Speedometer problems help
Ok i have a problem with my speedometer i have looked around and no one else seems to have this problem. So i decided to make a new thread about it.
I have a 94 si with airbox/resonator and all the other crap removed.
here is the problem: sometimes when i am driving (usually after a burnout but not always) my speedometer goes crazy it will start bouncing around randomly saying im doing anywhere from 5-25 mph faster than i really am and its really fast to like it will just jump from one spot to another and start bouncing around it sometimes fixes itself after a few miles of driving but usualy i have to stop the car and let it sit for a while
does anyone know wtf this is about?

will that throw a code? and do i just need to replace the part in the dash or do i need to replace the part in the tranny too or what? sorry i know alot about the mechanical part of cars but i dont know much about the electrical parts :/
Could be your VSS or VSS sensor going out. I would first check the connection from the engine harness to the vss first, then start replacing stuff. I dont think it would be your speedometer unless you have messed with the needles or something
this is different from your problem, but my speedometer is [freak]ed up also. i should say its 'off'. when i'm doing what says 80mph, i'm really doing 72. is there anyway to fix it so it shows the RIGHT speed that i'm going?
