Speedometer not working, simultaneous CEL...VSS?
Ok, so the other day I swapped in a new P14 ECU as part of an ongoing attempt to fix my A/C (see my other thread for that story), and once I started driving around my speedometer bounced around, then dropped to zero. Then as soon as I floor it a get a CEL. If I restart the car, the CEL won't come on again till I give it heavy throttle
I figured since that didn't happen before I swapped in the new P14, I put the old one back in, but the same problem persists.
Now, I'd imagine the speedometer problem being caused by the VSS not being properly connected or broken, but would a fucked VSS also cause a CEL?
Also, if someone would like to point out how/where to check the CEL on a 4th gen Prelude I'd appreciate it
I'm kind of pressed for time, did a brief search but it just told me what I suspected, VSS = broke speedometer, so any quick help would be nice

There's probably nothing wrong with your speedo. About the jumper... geez man, you really should search... It's a two pin connector tied off under the dash somewhere. You short it (paperclip?) and turn on the ignition, that'll cause your CEL code to blink out. Regardless, yeah it's probably no signal from the VSS, which can mean a loose connector, broken wire, or the sensor itself is bad.
