spark plug preference?
Looking to change out my current spark plugs. Anyone have a certain type of plug they like to use. I'm not sure which ones to get to improve gas mileage, if all possible.
I haven't actually tried the regular copper NGKs in my car. I just use the V-power since they're OEM 4Gen Si plugs.
I should give them a try when I get a chance...

The V-power plugs are less than $2 at Napa. Is there really an affordability/practicality issue at that price. The NGK corp site says the V-power has better has ignitability than their standard copper plug.
NGK Iridiums all the way. If not those, then I would prefer Denso Iridiums. Nothing else touches my motor. Also those are the only plugs we use at the shop I work at. Thats the only thing we put in every bmw, mercedes, jaguar, honda, toyota, nissan, etc....
Nitrous, I have just been lazy to replace them with the 6's i have sitting in my garage....lol
Though helms does say that if you live in a hotter climate you could go to the 7's

Bosch plugs in Hondas.... "suck cheesy ***** covered in animal cheese" LoL
I would only use NGK
on top of that, If you have the money you should use the OEM Plug, Which is Laser Platinum and about 11$ a plug x4
If you want to go cheaper, the Iridium NGK is a nice plug for about half the price. 7$
My h22 seems to run the best with the OEM Laser Plug.

The Laser Platinum are OEM in H22's... It's what came from the factory Honda. And not only that, my 44$ plugs will last 10x longer than your copper NGK plug. So keep laughin. I would just rather not change my plugs as often.
You're right, The cheap ones do work pretty well.. However I'd at least get the Single tip Platinum.. they are around 4$ a plug.. Still pretty cheap.

+1. All jokes aside. The Laser platinum's last longer, but also the have a purer burn. So thinking from a technical aspect. Once you get into the higher rpm's the v-power's will never perform as well or last as long as the Iridium's or the Laser platinum's. I have nothing but Iridium plugs in my 3 Preludes and I change my plugs once a year just by choice. I could go longer. When I pull my plugs out, they look great enough to put them right back in If cash is low at the time I get ready to change them. Think of it this way, YOU OWN A PRELUDE, you don't put cheap gas in your car so why put in cheap plugs........
So I thought about it hard what I wanted and listened to all your suggestions. I ended up with getting the NGK Iridium plugs. They were $6.99/each; pretty reasonable i would say. I took my old ones out and looked at them. All four plugs were white on the stems or tips. Is that mean there were worn out or is that normal?
