Are we talking the sway bar link located on the inside of the wheels? Or are we talking the upper sway bar that is hitched up to your upper shock mounts? Either way you would be fine to drive, your car will just sway a little more then usual. If its a link its very easy to install and you can get them for around $40. Oh and if it was the entire lower bar that snapped then good luck

if i post a picture of the bar that snapped will that help a little more. it dosn't look like a radius rod that snapped that i could see. the bar goes up behind the bumber area in the front of the car. it's a solid steel rod 1" dia. could the radius rod beraking cause the sway bar to snap.

If the lower control arm is moving fore and aft, there is a problem with the radius rod.

117 IS RIGHT ON POINT, YOU HAVE A RADIUS ARM PROBLEM FOR SURE, THERE IS N'T ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD CAUSE THAT ISSUE. BTW, HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN? DID THE ROD SNAP IN HALF, PULL THROUGH BUSHINGS @ FRONT? JUST INTERESTED.

lol yeah def radius rod. your sway bar isnt really gonna let the tire move much more if it breaks. gosh that things gotta be all over the place. i hope youre not trying to drive it like that

Yeah, I've snapped an end link before, but I my car definetly didn't do anything that crazy. I'd check what 117 said.

Post some pics it would be interesting to see what it looks like. If your sway bar links go bad its no big deal your car will not handle as good and when you hit a bump you might here some noise up front or in rear.

Sound familiar? There's a reason why I said that.

looks like you had a pre-existing crack that finally made it all the way through. thats why there is rust on half of it.
