ok guys i havent been messing with hondas for a while and never a prelude so my knowledge is limited, i picked up a 97 prelude with a blown motor, after looking around at local scrap yards i can see my best bet might be to get one of ebay, but there are so many engines that people are putting in these things these days im lost. when i type in prelude engine in ebay search bar numerous motors are coming up and im not sure what all these swaps intail. what all motors will work with my original tranny? h23a vtec, f20b??? im not sure about any of them, how much horsepower does the h22 thats factory for the prelude? any help is gratefully appreciated

Cheap=getting what you pay for.
I.E. Something that isn't going to last.
H22a is the best choice for the car, if you plan on modifying I'd get the closed deck OBD1 motor and convert the car to OBD1 for a good tuning base.
