So, its that time Again...... HYPERFEST!
Ok guys, hyperfest is just around the corner and is going to be held at summit point, WV at the Summit Point motorsports park. There will be thrills, chills, and spills, really, there will be!!
Whats going on???
1. Hyper Drives, where for I think 40$, its you, your car and instructor, go around the challenging 2 mile circut at full speed, for 25 mins, you will learn more in that 25 mins then you ever will driving on the street.. I get my "mostly stock" prelude to over 125mph on the straights, im sure some of you guys could get much faster...
2. Hyper Rides, where you can ride a long on the track with a qualified instructors at full speed around the course, I think cost is 10$ or less..
3. Hyper Cruise, where you can your buds can hop in your car and take some touring laps behind a pace car, not full race speed, but very fun nevertheless..
4. The best part!!! Honda Challenge Racing, ME!!!! Will be qualifiying and Racing on both sunday and saturday, with standing starts both days (giant drag race to turn 1), there will also be formula 6000 and champ car lights (both indy cars) racing...
5. Rollover competition.. 1000$ to the winner, must have at least a rollbar in whatever car you feel like thrashing, im thinking of entering my 1989 subaru wagon...
6. Drifting competition, 1000$ for the person who can show us the best sliding style....
7. Show and Shine car show series... yea well, you know..........
8. For you guys who are halfway serious, and want to get started in this stuff, there will be a HPDE (high performance driving event) to be held on the Jefferson Circut there.. This fun little track offers various curves and straights to suit your needs, you will get classroom, instruction, and lots of track time for 150$ in your own car!! a great deal indeed~!
Also, for you prelude boys, its also the 3rd annual east coast prelude meet, you can find more info on http://www.hondaprelude.com, click under events, there are over 31 people already signed up with just preludes
So lets put on a good show, and help me out with my car so I can win my H2 class, against those pesky ITR's
info can be found at www.hyper-fest.com and www.nasaracing.net and www.honda-challenge.com

i'd be more than happy to go, but that's too far for me. well, even if it wasn't i couldn't go due to some torn knee ligaments
anyhoo, you have fun and good luck. hope you win some races.
don't forget to take a lot of pics.

Thanks for the support, I need it, have a 8lb flywheel ready, LSD on the way, and a 3rd gear rebuild kit coming... I just really want to see some interest in this event, being its only an hour from DC.....
have a 8lb flywheel ready,
Trending Topics
its a clutchmaster/fidanza unit... I went from a 20lb (stock) to a 15lb one before, and made a huge difference, I hope 8lbs is even better.....
Sorry to hear your car is busted, bring all your friends to the event...

i'll be there IF my motor is back together by then. I should be getting my pistons tomarrow. I got my ticket and rom reserved for the weekend, so i really hop to have everything together by then
I should be there, only about 3 hours away from Pittsburgh. But the important thing is that I get an email back from Steve at NASA so that I can help him tech cars and run for free...heheheh...sorry, I'm poor.
Corey,
I'd definantly be interested in the HPDE, it's booked so far in advance as it is. Is it just open because there is this even this weekend? I don't have any serious track expierence though...

See, this event isn't booked yet... The HPDE is being held on the smaller track (jefferson circut) but is the best track IMO to do your first track event...
Go to http://www.nasaracing.net sign up for the event, takes a little time, but well worth it!

Corey- but it is that weekend as well? If it is, I (and a friend) want to sign up for this. Hopefully it is that weekend so we can come see all the sights that weekend.

Hey man, your from fairfax, why don't you just come up both weekends in a row.. Come up the 22-23 and watch (I will be racing that weekend as well, just not honda-challenge) and chill with us, then come up for the hyperfest event (29-30) and sign up to do either the 20 minute session hyperdrive on the big track, or run all day on the small track for a 100$.. There are schedules posted by NASACHRIS in the autox/roadracing forum
hey corey hows everything? Did you get the underdrive pulley on? When is the event? i would like to go depending on what weekend.
Hey man, I still have not gotten that pulley on! I am doing it this weekend when I do the flywheel install.. The weekend is the 29-30 and its also the hondaprelude.com east coast meet at summit point, come up and have some fun man!
