i just got a 92 lude and runs and drives fine but i cant shift from inside the car....my buddie put a f trans in it and its not lined up all the way yet but workin on that....we can put it in third and start off and shift through fifth inside but cant 1st thru 3rd...have to put it in third by hand any ideas im a nubie for the lude thing need help asap

frist and second gear could be distroyed

 

it shifts into first and second fine and drives in those gears fine but you have to put it in by hand though...we were thinkin bent shifter cables what you guys think

 

what do u mean by hand i have a 5 speed and i put mine in gear by hand? thats how you do it? not quite understanding what ur exectly saying?

 

like if you pop the hood and put it in gear yourself thats what im saying...but if i start out in third it shifts fine from third to fifth with the shifter

What's not lined up, the bellhousing bolts?

 

the tranny mount ...just needs some shimes...it was lined up before but we were trying to figure out the problem so we took it apart to see if we couldnt figure it out thats when i came here
