Just install a new shiftknob and my shiftboot is slipping anyone know how to lock it in place ?

 

what do you mean slipping?

 

The boot ain't locking on the shaft it just resting on console.

 

my shifter had some space underneath so i tucked the shiftboot underneath. can't really tell what the bottom of your's looks like but you can always take that silver plastic adapter off, take some black string, and tie that sucker down. it's not that hard really. just use some creativity.

you still have the plastic peace that is supposed to lock onto the bottom of the stock shifter. of course its not going to work with an after market one. take out the plastic/silver peace. lift the console with the shiftknob still on zip tie the boot right under the ****. and then put the console back down.

it will look just like stock.
