Default Shaking

My steering wheel shakes a lot when i hit the brakes from about 70-80, even from about 45, does anyone know what causes this? Could it be curved rims?

Probably have warped rotors. If its really bothering you then your mechanic can resurface them or you can live with it if it isn't too bad - I have.

Warped rotors...just take them to get resurfaced its not like it will get any better if you just ignore them.

might as well get some real pads put on there while you're at it.

Cobalt... Hawks... good stuff.

my first bet would also be with the warped rotors. improper tire balace cause shaking, but only while driving... not under braking.

Yeah most definantly warped rotors. Also, if you wash your car a lot and spray the brakes while they are hot and it steams, that can accelerate the warpage process.

Yup, warped rotors. I replaced my stock rotors in the front which were warped, with the brembo blanks off ebay for $36each + shipping. I love them and have had no problems.
