Default Shaking

my car recently started shaking at speeds above 60. It never did this before i never changed the front tires or anything. I can feel it in the gas pedal and steering wheel , its worse on the highway when turning just on a slight turn. Could the wheels come out of balance i havent hit anything.

More details would be nice, but it sounds like a CV joint. Is it worse with acceleration?

Wheels can lose their balance if you've lost a balance weight, also check your tires real good for any damage like bulges or flat spots in case it's a tire causing it, also check your lug nuts are torqued up to spec.

your tires are definetly out of balance if its 60above but it should smooth out around 90, u might also want to take a look at ur springs i had a cracked one that broke and it was a similar problem. But it sounds like the tires (take it from me i deal with them all day everyday at work)

no need to fix it, just go above 80 and below 60. in socal, those are the only speeds we know.

Alignment won't do dick for shaking. I know, I do them. You either lost a balance weight (which isnt hard) or you have some serious wheel bearing/tie rod-end issues.

Any reputable tyre centre that deals in alloys and tyres and has computerised wheel balancing equipment, should do you a good job for a few bucks a wheel. Best to at least get the two fronts done or all four if you want peace of mind.

Could a blown shock do this ? I just noticed today my passenger side bilstein is done , the car rides like crap. You can feel that side bouncing around.
