Can I put a base transmission in a SH?

 

Yes and no. You need to fabricate a bracket for the halfshaft. im sure someone else will chime in with pics. No its not a direct drop in swap without the bracket.

Do you have the atts unit on there, or did you take it off? Both transmissions hook up to either block...I had to get another transmission for mine when I had the atts unit on, and I got it from a base model lude.

There is a piece that comes on the SH transmission that you will need;it sits inbetween the atts and the transmission. You have to be careful taking it off. If I can find pics of when I did this, I'll post them.

To switch between a half shaft and an atts unit, either way, you will need to get a bracket. If you are taking off the atts unit, which I doubt from your question, I have a bracket that I made to fit under the half shaft so that you can bolt the half shaft to the SH block....I hope all of this sounds right; it did in my head.
