Who makes scatter sheilds for the h22/h23 other then golden eagle, any ideas or suggestions and any pics of it installed would be great to thanks.

GE is the only one that i know of. do a search on google. how much do they want for one?

 

sorry for the newb question, but whats a scatter shield?

 

protects driver in case of a clutch or flywheel explosion during drag racing.

Is explosion really an issue being that the tranny is up front, mounted sideways, and would have to throw debris through the bellhousing, firewall, and dash before it even gets through to the driver?
Maybe this is a prob for big V8's where the driver sits right next to the tranny, but i just dont see a scatter shield useful on our cars........

 

whats wrong with the GE? I have it and its awesome.

 

and even if it does blow up and make it in the cabin, the tranny is still on the passenger side, I konw I won't get hit,

 

Protect you and your car too. I saw a DSM with pieces of the tranny that got about 3/4 of the way through the hood after blowing up and a good chunk in the firewall too.
