now im not a rocket scientist but i have reason to believe that i am running rich. first off when in the midst of spirited driving if i run it up near redline and shift as fast as humanly possible i always notice a huge black cloud of smoke from the rear (2nd to 3rd usually). There is also quite a bite of soot build-up on my exhaust tips and a little on my plugs. when my friends drive behind me they say that my car reeks like rotten eggs by i have never smelled it myself. Lastly to me my car is fast(i used to drive a dx eg civic) but to everyone else it is not as fast as it is supposed to be. What is going on?!?!? Please help me.

 

Do a compression check to see what kind of condition its in first off.

you can pick up the tool for like $20, and do it yourself

 

how do i use the tester and what readings should i get?

P.S.: what about my O2 sensor and cat is there an easy way to check those?
