Default running p14 on an H22

just did an H22 swap n a 1994 prelude. is it ok to temporarily run the p14 with that motor until i get the P13. im sure its fine but just making sure. any serious cons to doing it also?

you'll be fine, just remember to keep the revs down cuz its gonna be running the fuel as if it were a h23, and you rev limiter will be lower.....but you shouldnt be going anywhere near it

i just got motor/tranny/ecu (not sure which one) but if it's a p13 i should use that instead of the stock one for the h23 prelude?

ok i just plugged in the P14 and finally put the regular injectors in the car(345cc) because i had the H23 ones in there temporarily. now the car is running very rich at idle and seems leaned out at steady 3000 rpm driving. was misfiring, stalling and everything. dont know whats wrong, maybe the ecu just needs to relearn itself? i dont know.

It's probably because the p14 ecu is designed to work with 240cc injectors, not 345cc injectors.

Stay out of VTEC, oh wait, you don't have VTEC

ok thanks for info. now car is throwing CEL 43 which is for fuel delivery system. any ideas? i dont know. it threw that code before about 4 months ago then cleared itself, now its back. also i turned the distributor back which seemed to lean it a bit and let it run a bit smoother. plugs are real dark brown/black after about 15 miles of driving. still rich. i guess i just gotta deal with this until the P13 comes. by the way, do you know anyone selling a manual USDM P13. or JDM but US preferred.

There's a usdm one on ebay going for 10 bucks, better jump on that.

Type in the phrase "p13 ecu"

That's clear up when you plug in the p13.

you can convert a p14 to a p13 but you need to know how to solder.

Yes, you can (I had to do the same because of the same as you ).
But:
1. Don't try to pass emission test with P14.
2. If you use P14 for a long time, say bye bye to your o2 sensor and Cat.
3. Don't go over 6500 rpm.
