Default Replacing AC Compressor.

Just making sure i have this right before i do it. All i have to do is remove the lines, unbolt it from the bracket, and replace it with the new one? I searched but im still confused. One guy said just to simply go under there, and start unbolting everything, another said to take it to a qualified ac tech and have them remove any freeon left in the system, uninstall and put in new one, take it back and have them refill it. I am not going to do the refill myself- im just talking about replacing the ac compressor thanx

as far as parts your are good, but if you have not yet got it emptied take it to an ac certified tech so you can avoid a big ticket. but if it is empty thats all you need
