replace 2nd gear?
well...to make a long story short, i have a clutch that engages pretty harsh and i ripped out 2nd gear at the track. It was pretty crappy.
What all is really involved to fix it so i dont get ripped off? and about how much shouldit cost you think? (educated answers only please...)
2nd pretty much turned to nuetral. Would i just have to replace the syncros? THANKS!

pretty much the same thing happened to me, but 2nd gear didn't completely go away until the next day when i tried to back out the driveway and the bits that broke off were blocking reverse.
i just bought a used tranny for like $250 shipped and swapped it out myself. might as well do the clutch and rear main seal while you're at it.

more than likely cheaper to buy a used tranny. a tranny shop wanted ~$900 to replace 5th gear in my DSM.
not to mention the pieces in there from the broken gear could screw up other parts in the tranny you dont know about yet.
