Removing IAB's?
I had this IM for sale with no iab's, bored out 70mm and egr block off plate, what's your input on the iab's removal? would it decrease power at low/mid range? I want to use it, this is what I have so far:
Hytech replica header
2.5 cat back, high flow cat
3 inch muffler
socketed ecu, so I can get it tuned easy if necessary
8lb flywheel
stage 2 clutch
It's a jdm H22a

Re: Removing IAB's?
I think there are some dyno results in the FAQ section. If I recall, removing the IAB plates are beneficial for overall power gains. Check it out.

Well I didn't find any specific info about it, I'd rather hear some feedback about someone who's actually dynoed it recently or just knows for a fact that's beneficial.

It only made a difference of about 10 ft/lbs of torque peak in my engine for about 1500 rpm around 3000rpm. I don't have the dynagraphs anymore but it's pretty negligable.
