Default To remove ?

Will removing this beam / plate or whatever you wanna call it hurt my handling performance buy inducing chassie flex ? I dont yet have my rear strut tower , but I will in a few weeks . Im just tring to remove all of the unnessary weight . Also , who can tell me what this silversh box is in the center of the beam , is it needed ? I havent seen it in any other ludes or cars for that matter I was thinking it was just more audio equipment from the previous owner but it looks factory , maybe it has something to do with fuel being that it sits directly over the tank .

Yeah I had that thought in mind, but will that still be an issue after the installation of a rear strut tower?

yes. A rear strut tower will never be able to amount to the strength of that steel. Also if you have both you will have a much more rigid frame. What your going to pretty much do is make your frame weaker even with the strut bar which will do the opposite of what you want to do. The few pounds are not worth it in this case.

Let's not talk about things we don't know about.

That brace is 1/8" thick metal, I can bend it with my hands.

A strut bar is a lot thicker and stronger.

I have that brace out so I can fit my mountain bike in my backseat/trunk, and my car "handles" fine, its not like you are racing around a track, you're driving to and from high school and work dude.

I thought the VTEC amp was attached to the same bracket as the 6x9.

Why is every thread being turned into a vtec joke? At least centralize the stupidity in one thread or don't post at all :/
