refilling a/c
hey everyone. has anyone tried refilling their a/c before? It sounds easy to do... kinda too easy to make me try. is it worth refilling myself or just take it to a shop. I have a/c left but its starting to not get cold. if so, can someone give me a general rundown on a diy?
i use r134. i see them at walmart and stuff but some people said it will cause leaks and all sorts of bad things. I have a few cars so bringing it to a shop will go deep into my pockets. have you guys experienced any problems doing it yourself?
doing it yourself shouldnt be a problem but you have to get the guage sets and stuff so you dont put too much freon in and maul your compressor, the gauge sets would set you back a few hundred for some good ones but I guess since you have a few cars you might as well invest in that... j/w what do the instructions say on the back of the wal mart freon cans?
