rattle/buzz at partial throttle
I have a 92 Si w/
H22a(JDM 97 lude)
Greddy 4-2-1 headers,Greddy EVO exhaust
AEM intake
Apexi V-AFC
At around 2000-3000 rpm and 25-40% throttle my engine makes a buzzing sound that I feel under my feet. It feels like the exhaust is hitting something. Has anyone experienced this problem?

it could be either your cat. converter. inspect the flanges on your header for cracks. heatshield cracking when hot? time for a DIY inspection.
yeah i have this problem too i have a 94 vtec, that buzz/ rattle pisses me off and its only like at 2500 rpm but doesn't matter what throttle position im at, i know mine is my exhaust . mine is rusting out
I asked one of my buddies and he said maybe some poly engine mounts. That way the engine won't move during exceleration. I'm not sure if that'll work, but its a good theory. They are inexpensive so thats my next move. Lemme know what the deal is...I really want to get this fixed.
LCA? With the headers I have(Greedy 4/3/1) its large and only an inch and some change from a couple of spots. Would I still have a heatshield with the headers or would that just be with the stock exhaust? Sorry for my ignorance, everybody has to start somewhere... -Josh

It's not the lca, I wasn't aware of the large distance they are from everything. Check your heatshield like Travis said.

I'm talking about the exhaust. It's not unusual for aftermarket exhausts to rub the heatsheilds. I doubt it's your header making the rattling, my guess is the exhaust on a heatsheild. You can either remove them, or cut away at them. You probably won't be able to eliminate the problem, but at least you can lessen it.
