if i have a CAI on my lude and somethin will go wrong on the computer or abs somethin or whateva will go wrong , honda will pop up my hood and see my intake, will they grant my warranty or theyll just tell u quickly that u void u warranty due to the CAI???

 

your warranty will be void. keep the stocker so if something does happen, put it on and they won't suspect a thing.

 

daym then i have to remove the strut tower bar first just to take out the CAI thats a lot of work. i was just asking nothing happened to my prelude

 

honda wont void your warranty i have intake and other stuff and they told me that it dosent matter.

 

so its fine huh by the way what happened to ur car when u brought it to the honda dealer?

 

i had a winding noise at high rpms and it had a knocking noise but they said so you have intake huh and i said is that a problem or will that void anything and they said no it wont

 

oic so its fixed now?what seemed to be the cause of the problem when they fixed it? all i know that will void the warranty when u have an intake is that when u hydrolock the engine

 

The way I understand it is that the aftermarket product has to be directly responsible for the problem, then they dont have to fix it. Like if a CAI sucks up water, and you get hydrolock, the problem is directly related to the CAI, and its your problem. Just like if you have boost, and while under boost, you crack a piston, your problem, warranty wont cover it.
