i just bought one of those ebay intakes for my 4th gen. i have a aem as well but uninstalled it because i wanted it to be polished not red. if anybody wants it they can buy it off me. anyway my question is the aem has 2 connections at the top of the intake where the ebay one only has one. it has the connection that goes to the valve cover but not the one that goes to the intake mani. is it alright to just cap the one that was coming from the intake mani and leave it at that? should i get it fabbed to keep that tube from the intake mani? whats the point of the tube from the intake mani?

i've never seen an intake with a hose going to the manifold. that doesn't make sense to me, to have a line that bypasses the throttle. wouldn't that mess up your idle? nobody else seems to have that hose from what i can tell in the 4th gen pic thread. sorry, i have a 5th gen.

 

There should be no line running directly into the intake manifold. I've never scene this either.

 

One line goes to the starting air valve and the other to the valve cover.

 

mine was a 96 and had that also but i dont remember where it went tho. but cap that joint off. it didnt have any efect on mine.

 

ok thanks thats what i thought. i was a little confused as well when i got my cheap ebay intake. ohh well if it does not harm it its all good.
