Default quick control arm question

How different do the front upper control arms on a 4th gen look. I just got 2 new ones because my ball joints were bad and the new arms look significantly different from each other. One arm has studs that stick out vertically were it mounts and the other just has holes that run horizontally were it mounts. Is this right or was I given the wrong parts? Thanks for the help!

different between the top and bottom control arms or left and right control arms? the top and bottoms are completely different. but the left and right should look exactly the same
