Default Quick Brake question?

When looking at rotors, what specific purpose are sloted rotors used over cross drilled where applicable. What are the strengths are weaknesses of eack. I assume that you cannot tell any difference unless you are at the track, but what are they?

cross-drilled are known to crack from time to time around the drilled hoes
slotted are recommended over cross drilled

I'm running all 4 powerslot rotors on my 4th gen w/ hawk brake pads. My braking power has changed alot over my stock brakes. no vibration or squeal.
