Default Question About the difference in Code 1 and 41

First Id like to state that I installed an AEM Wideband on my H22. It works cool.

But I ran into one issue with it. It would throw itself into open loop on code 41, and had the engine running like crud.

Now I Fixed that issue with a 1k watt resistor.

I plugged A6 into A25 and linked the to with a 1k watt resistor. Worked fine, and no more code 41.

I did take it out and give it a good test out to see what would happen up and down the block. I did run into a different issue that has me wondering.

I didn't check the resistor to see if I blew it out, I did hear a pop, so Im assuming that I blew a fuse or the resistor out. Either or, Im still wondering about this.

What is the difference in the code 1 and code 41? Code 1 refers to the level of oxygen content in engine, and code 41 is O2 sensor, and throws the engine into open loop mode, which I don't want.

Does code 1 throw the engine into open loop as well? Or does it perform something else.

Any emission related DTC will put you into open loop. So yes, code 1 will.
