Default Pulling the engine

I know I should look before I post but I can't till I get home and then it would be too late to ask.

I am pulling my engine tonight(hopefully) to change my clutch/flywheel. I wanted to know how you connect the hoist to the engine. Is there a certain place.

Sorry if this is a n00b question but it will be the first time I have ever pulled an engine.

Oh yeah BTW H23
-Thanks!

This is the first time you are pulling the motor and you are about to change your clutch and flywheel? Well if you have a helms it will show you were to connect to lift the motor. If you dont have one you should get one first before you do this.

Why are you pulling the engine out just to do a clutch & flywheel?

I have heard that it is easier to get it back in. That and I want to do some other work while it is out.

With the Transmission off, you'll have about 2 feet of working room.

But if you're going to do other stuff to it while its out then

yeah but you should have a lift, IMO if your in a shop and trying to get done fast its the way to go. But at home, in the garage, use the hoist.

Drop the engine out the bottom?? Then what? Take the wheels off and drop the car over the engine?
