Default Problems with Toe

was just wondering. when i first lowered my car. drove the car around for a while without going for an allignment.

the tires were all choppy on the inner wall of the rear tires. the tires were negatively cambered quite bad. i think my bearings are bad and is the reason my tires are choppy...

i didnt even bother to try getting the toe adjusted coz i didnt know better and installed cheap ebay camber kits that i got for free (the anchor arm type)...

after i got those installed the camber is close to spec (I THINK) but the toe on the rear passenger side tire is off by 0.5 inch which is alot. and my whole inner wall is bald. the guys at belle tire said that they were out of toe adjustment and couldnt get the toe in spec.

so tomorrow im gonna be putting my stock anchor arms back on. and then go for a toe allignment. hopefully its because of cheap ebay anchor arms that my toe couldnt be adjusted into spec.

I have to make a 5 hour trip this week and i dont want to wear the tire out anymore because its down to nothing and if i drive anymore with the current setting it'll blow on the highway for sure.

thats why i ordered the Megan toe arm, hopefully the toe can be adjusted when i have the stock anchor arms back on, but if that doesnt work at least i can install the megan arms and get more adjustment. if it works, at least i have better toe arms hehe.

so now does anyone have any recommendations on camber kits for the rear? i need something cheap..but not ebay quality sheeeet.

also, the mech did mention that something might be bent. what possible things could be bent that would cause the adjustment to run out on one side but not the other. my drivers side tire still wears fast but not as bad as the passenger. so the toe on the drivers side is definately less than the one on the passengers side.

Fix your toe and don't worry about the camber unless it's obviously way off.

it is obviously way off...the naked eye could tell....

tires are facing / \

some other ppl have claimed that they didnt need a camber kit. but that was with prokit springs...i have sportlines and they dropped down all the way....

any ideas on camber kits?

was just wondering whether there were any good knock off brands out there.

dont get the cheap crap
the outer sleeve on the bushing just slides within the camber kit

so its a metal - metal rubbing
