Default PROBLEM!! please help!!

Ok, I put Eibach sportline springs on my prelude about 3 weeks ago. I just took it in to Les Schwab to get it aligned today. I got in there and the guy told me that I had the springs installed upside down. His reasoning was because the writing on the springs was upside down. Now, I think they are installed correctly. The sportlines have a progressive spring rate, and how we have them installed now is with the tighter spring rate at the top, and the gap between the coils getting gradually higher as the springs gets lower. Here is a pic of another car: http://www.sentrastyling.freeservers.com/photo5.html That is how we have them installed. am I a dumbass or is the guy at Les Schwab a dumbass?? Thanks!

you have it installed wrong me thinks, the less space between gaps should be on the bottom, lighter on top, thats how my shop installed mine

I recently installed sportlines on my accord and did the same thing, only b/c the springs don't seem to fit correctly on the rear if you don't flip them. The top end of the spring lines up with the bottom "cap" and bushings much better than it does with the bottom end, so we left it that way. I'm not understanding why this would matter.. please let us know what you find out.

edit: the diameter of the rear spring is different on the top and bottom ends, which fit the "caps" (wtf are these called) on the shock assembly only if the spring is upside down.

Yeah, that is exactly the way I did it. I tried calling Eibach...the guy assured my that the part number and Logo should be right side up, but after looking at them some more, I am 100 percent sure that I have them on right. If I put them on how they say to, since the diameter of the spring on one end is much bigger, they would almost completely slide over the bottom "cap" (dont know either) and having them uspide down seems the most logical to me. Also the guy at eibach told me that my car should have a horriblie ride quality with them upside down, which it doesnt. I am thinking that maybe they mislabled a batch of them? At any rate, I am going to leave them! However, if anyone else has pics, personal experience or anything else to disprove me, PLEASE post! Thanks!
