My buddy has a 92 Prelude S that is having problems starting. normally it starts and runs but every once in while it just won't start. He changed the wires and plugs the other day. any suggestions would be helpfull. thanks

 

your friend is in the same situation as mine here in chicago, but his engine is the JDM h22a one and it won't start at all. He just got the thing too. It sucks that two nice cars aren't rolling. Let me know how it goes.

 

its either your fuel pump is going bad or your main fuel relay. check them out

 

I have a 92 prelude S and had the SAME exact problem. I would turn the ignition and it would just do nothing. If i held the ignition all the way over for like a minute it wuold eventually "catch" or something and start. Also, if i hooked up the battery to a charger it would start right up but when i turned it off and tried to start it back up it wouldnt start. So, i bought a new battery, cleaned the wires for the battery, checked the whole ignition to make sure nothing was loose or anything, and since then i havent had any troubles getting it started. good luck with it

 

i seriously doubt it's the fuel pump, might be the main relay or possibly
the ignitor in the distributer
