problem?
2 weeks ago I let a newb drive my car. We were going on the highway and the IDIOT drops it into 2nd gear at 80 mph. I seen the rpm gauge go into a complete circle all the way to zero. Few days later the timing belt snaps. I dont think it skipped timing because when we put the new timing belt on it started right up without adjusting the cams or the crank. Before everything i took it to track and did 15.1 stock. Right after the timing incident i could barely do 15.8.
NEVER let a newb drive a lude.
the clutch and trans on a lude is alot different from ur everyday stick shift. (as you may kno). and since ur belt snapped. i think u MIGHT have a bent valve

right after when he droped it the car started shaking badly.. i drove it like that for couple days and check engine light comes on. i take it to shop to have it checked. it says cylinder 1 misfire, after the belt snaps me and a friend take everything off, we see that the timing belt snapped and the balance shaft belt. there wasnt any belts there at all, it was all in powder. later we find out that it tore the crank sensor cables. it broke both magnets. so that cost me alot also. whats with the cylinder 1 misfire???
this is almost EXACTLY what happen to my friend.
it sounds like cylinder 1 is misfiring because the valve is bent.
also his car did shudder alot too.
im alost positive its the valves if not more.
