prelude turbo
i am thinking about a h22a for my 92 lude or my other option is a turbo but at first they would be about the same power gains but i would like to put the turbo at about 10-12 boost which do u guys suggest going with
If I had a 92s or si, I would definitely turbo it. It will walk all over h22 stock, and for the price of the swap complete, you could get a nice turbo setup on either f22 or h23. Do some searches on h23 turbos. Definitely worth the time.

agreed, either build the **** out of you motor, make sure its tuned and have an alternate source of transportation if you turbo. It depends on what you want. If you really want speed, go turbo, if you really want durability, go H22.

It really just depends on what you want. The boosted engine would give you more power and a faster car, but it wont be as reliable as just a N/A h22. With turbo you gotta expect problems. Remember Moore's law! I'm thinking about building my own turbo setup for my h22a1 but im having engine problems already and i havent even boosted. I personally would go with boost but its a bigger risk and could end up costing you more in the end.

what is the state of your current engine??? mileage, compression, leakdown???
your motor maybe able to handle some boost....but like mentioned above - the H22 will be more reliable.

unless your gonna fully build the h23/f22 then i wouldnt go turbo. but...if you can afford to do a nice build then i would deffinately go turbo
. if you cant go forged and get hondata then i would go with h22

my h23 has 162,000 miles on it still running strong no problems but instead of buying a h22a i was thinking just buying the head and then going turbo but the turbo im looking at says its for a h23 as soon as i put the h22 head on it will it still work i mean there basically the same motor except fpr the h22 has the cams and performnace parts

Well... are you saying making a 275 hp turbo setup as reliable as a 275 hp n/a H22 setup? I don't think you are right. Let's compare apples to apples. For high power, boost is much more reliable than all motor.

No. Different flanges. Is this not the same question I just answered?

I dont think u understand how much there is to putting H22 head on H23 block (H23VTEC). You dont jsut swap them. There is a lot of other stuff u have to do as well.
