The Prelude an SUV?
I ran into some traffic yesterday on the Beltway here on my way home from the weekend. I car blocked my backup plan of getting off early and taking back roads. I decided I would try and touch it out. I crested a hill and saw at least a 2 mile back up. I was in the far right lane and noticed that SUVs were driving over the concrete median to get to the exit that I missed. It's one where you have to get over well before the exit because it's semi-seperate.
I pointed out all the SUVs to my girl and she was like "They're actually using them for someother other than a highway." Well because I missed said entrance I decided I was going to try and follow them. I found the lowest section of what was basically a long concrete island and started up it very slow and a 45 degree angle. I made it up onto the island scrape free and thought for sure I was going to knock something off on the way down. Much to my surprise I went slow enough that I cleared the entire thing without scraping a thing.
I couldn't believe it. The move probably saved me 30-45 minutes. I've thought about getting a body kit or lowering my car but this incident is going to make me think twice. At this to the reason why we don't need SUVs.
