Prelude problems
ok i just got a H22A JDM swap into my 92 prelude coz i blew the previous motor.
one thing now after the swap. my plug cable sequence on the distributor is totally off. i have tried the CORRECT settings for the distributor but my car would refuse to start. i will only work on my current setup.
my car is running rich and there is a slight hesitation when it shifts gears (auto). for the 1st and 2nd gears. the rev will rise like normal to 1.7k RPM and then it will stutter and the exhaust sounds like it is misfiring. this will happen for about a second or two before the rev climbs again.
my car is running on the H23 fuel rail that is from my previous engine that blew because the stupid mech swapped it over.
so could it be that it is running wierd because of the fuel rail?
the engine is definately not running healthy. stutters and spits most of the time trying to climb in rev. but when it reaches 2.5 RPM it runs ok. and by ok meaning it doesnt stutter.
one more thing that i find wierd. my car runs pretty smooth when the engine temp is low. like in the morning when i start up my car. it drives really smooth without much stuttering. but when the heat hits normal levels the problems start.

dood im having the exact same problems with my car.
It runs smooth in the morning and doesnt really stutter, but it does exactly what yours is doing when it gets warm. If you find a solution to this please let me know.
thanks.

bump here...i have the same problem....by the way, you should keep the h23 fuel rail....because youre wiring harness will need to read that fuel rail to run "normally"
