Default Prelude problem Pls Help

ok i recently bought a h23 92096 prelude. i let my cousin change my oil, well he didn't put enough in and 2 weeks later I started hearing a clicking noise. So I got the exhaust camshaft and timing belt changed. Now I still hear the clicking, its reving from 1-2,000 rpms, and i think the valves are messed up. any ideas? suggestions?

with no engine oil or with low engine oil? did the cel ever come on?

the tick sounds like your valves. the timing belt/exhaust cam change was a waste of money, too. get your valves readjusted.

if you ran the car for 2 weeks with NO oil, the engine would have seized. low oil it might have been ok, however, you could have fubared the engine. get the valves readjusted and see what happens. also do a compression check/leakdown test.

with no oil I would be surprised if it had started. Your valves are probably done but

so wait a minute. let me get this straight here.

1 - you didn't check it. that means you don't care enough to make sure it was done right.

2 - you were racing (most likely street racing so you should be shot) and didn't care enough to check your fluids and im sure anything else.

3 - now you come begging for help so that you can repeat both #1 and #2, all the while still not caring what happens to your engine as long as you can race someone.

here is the solution.

take your car to a salvage yard. sell it to them for scrap metal then take that money and buy a gun and one bullet. yes just one. you can barney fife it for a while. go get some dinner and then shoot yourself in the ******* head. you don't deserve your car or the privilege to drive.

good bye.

ur cousin is an idiot.

no oil=nothing gets lubed..metal on metal is not an engines best friend.

imagine sex. if people did not produce fluids down there, sex would be painful..not fun.

go ********** with sandpaper.

hopefully you get my point.

This sounds like rice at it's finest

The guys lucky that he hasn't spun a bearing.

Anytime you hear clicking, check your oil with the quickness

n00bs just aren't getting the proper flaming like back in the day. leave it to doug to re-invent the flame. doug... a real flamer.

On a tech note, you better pray that you only hear your valves ticking. Your bearings are probably toast and knocking though. Usually when you increase the rpm's and you hear the sound getting louder that's usually coming from the area of the crank. I would drop the oil pan if I were you and check for shavings/chunks of bearings. Your cylinder walls are probably scored nicely as well. Most likely you'll need a new engine soon... if not you are one lucky SOB.

Kick your cousin in t3h nuts also when you have a chance.
